He graduated from the secondary school in Lviv with a gold medal.
He started his medical education at Poltava Medical Academy and graduated from Lviv State Medical University in 1997 with a degree in general medicine. He completed his internship in neurosurgery at the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in Kyiv with practical training at the Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. From 1999-2009, he worked as a neurosurgeon at the Emergency Hospital in Lviv and at the Department of Emergency Consultative Medical Care of the Regional Clinical Hospital in Lviv.Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital.
While working as a practitioner, he has always been interested in science and innovative methods in the field. He successfully defended his PhD thesis in neurosurgery in 2011 at the Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
Since 2009 he has been working as a neurosurgeon (main place of work) at St. Luke's Hospital, 1st TMA of Lviv (formerly 8-MCL), and as a consultant in neurosurgery at private medical centres in Lviv and the region.
