Computed tomography (computed tomography or CT scan) is performed by a doctor who knows whether this examination will be more useful than, for example, magnetic resonance imaging. In an emergency, the indications for CT scanning are primarily serious injuries: head, spine or other areas, or acute cerebrovascular disorders (cerebral strokes).
This method of visual diagnosis uses the action of X-rays.
